Based on several news sites, Wilkinson came back from a successful fishing trip, he noticed something wrong when entering the harbor and the boat began to go under water. Wilkinson has no choice, but plan to abandon ship and hang to a rail waited to be rescued.

Wilkinson told the local media, "If it wasn't for the harbormaster I would have gone down with the Titanic." He also mentioneda bit embarrassing and I got pretty fed up with people asking me if I had hit an iceberg.

Wilkinson is from Birmingham and brought the Titanic II by road from his home and is out for his first voyage with Titanic II.
