Last June 2011, the moon exhibits a deep orange glow as the Earth casts its shadow in a total lunar eclipse as seen in Manila, Philippines, before dawn.

According to several news site, the perfect view of Lunar Eclipse 2011 will be available in Asia and the Pacific, but the western United States and Canada will get in on at least a little of the casting action, or nothing at all. Lunar eclipse December 2011 can be found in Alaska, Hawaii, northwestern Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Central Asia, and Eastern Asia

The moon will pass through the Southern part of the Earth’s shadow, that’s why the Western US had low horizons.

The Total Lunar Eclipse December 2011 start at 6:06 a.m. PST and it will last for 51 minutes.
